E-IDV Global Ltd, a Jersey company with registration number 132357 (“E-IDV”, “we”, “our”, “us”), is committed to protecting the privacy of those who entrust us with their personal information. “Personal information” means any information pertaining to an identified or identifiable individual and may include, for example, email addresses, contact details and similar information provided to us in the course of our business operations. Personal information that is de-identified or anonymised is not considered personal information. This Privacy Policy details our commitment to your privacy.

1. What does this Privacy Policy cover?

E-IDV provides software services and solutions to business customers who verify the identity of natural persons for regulatory or anti‑fraud purposes. To provide certain biometric services, we work with specialist third‑party providers such as Mitek (provided in the UK by Hooyu Limited).

This Privacy Policy describes our privacy practices concerning information collected on our websites, www.e-idvglobal.com (“the Sites”), and when you interact with us in connection with the services and products we provide to our clients (“Client Services”). It is primarily directed to our clients and their employees and representatives.

We do not provide services directly to individual end users. End users should contact our clients or review their privacy policies for information on how their personal data is used. In this regard, we act as a “data processor” or “service provider” under applicable data protection laws, except where otherwise stated for specific services in which E-IDV is a “data controller”.

By using our Client Services, visiting the Sites, or otherwise interacting with us, clients accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. What information does E-IDV collect, and how is it used and shared?

5. How long does E-IDV retain personal information?

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes collected and for legal obligations. For client‑related data, retention is dictated by contract or law. Biometric retention details are in Section 10.

6. Choices concerning personal information

Clients and their employees may be contacted about our Sites and Client Services. Under European data privacy laws, individuals may request access, deletion, correction, or transfer of their personal information.

For data collected under client contracts, clients are responsible for providing notice and obtaining consent where required.

7. Children’s privacy

Our Sites and Client Services are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If such information is discovered, it will be deleted.

8. Access, objection, correction and deletion

In certain jurisdictions, individuals may request confirmation of processing, access to their data, or deletion. Clients manage such requests for data they provide to us.

If you provided your personal information to our clients, you should contact them directly regarding your rights under consumer privacy laws.

10. Biometric Information Retention Policy

E-IDV may access biometric identifiers and biometric information (“biometric data”) through our clients for verification, fraud prevention, and long‑term proof of inspection. We do not sell, lease, or trade biometric data.

Biometric data is destroyed when instructed by clients, typically five years after the last interaction.

Personal information may be processed in various countries, including the EEA, UK, and Jersey.

12. Right to lodge complaints

You may contact us with concerns. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We update this Privacy Policy as needed. Changes will be posted on the Sites. Material changes may be communicated directly to clients.

15. Data Privacy Framework Statement

E-IDV adheres to the Data Privacy Framework Principles of Notice, Choice, Accountability for Onward Transfer, Security, Data Integrity and Purpose Limitation, Access, and Recourse, Enforcement and Liability.

Personal Data: information recorded in any form that pertains to an identifiable individual.

Sensitive Personal Information: information revealing race, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade union membership, or health information.

E-IDV may receive Personal Data from clients and suppliers in the EU/EEA/UK. This may include identity document data, biometric data, payment information, and more.
